I used to treat every problem like an emergency—jumping into panic as if the whole world was crashing down on me. If a prayer seemed delayed, or if a family member fell ill, I would immediately feel that heavy weight on my chest. My heart would race. My mind would spin with worry. My prayers quickly changed from calm, trusting conversations with God into desperate begging sessions, as if I needed to convince Him to act faster.
Even though deep down I knew God was able, I still found myself stuck in a cycle of fear and doubt. Instead of resting in His provision, I would start imagining the worst possible outcomes — like, “What if it doesn’t work out?” or “What if God doesn’t come through this time?” I believed in His power, but my thoughts kept pulling me toward panic, like maybe this situation was just too much.
A Whisper from the Holy Spirit
But then, in a quiet moment alone in my room, the Holy Spirit gently whispered to my heart:
“Stop watching the outward situation. Look to what I have already spoken.”
That simple message changed everything for me. I realized I was focusing too much on what I could see—the shaky bank balance, the unanswered prayers, the sick loved ones. But what if those things were just the surface? What if the real story was already written and settled in a place I couldn’t see with my natural eyes?
Focusing on the Unseen Reality
In 2 Corinthians 4:18, Paul says, “We don’t focus on what is seen, but on what is unseen. What is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.”
Heaven Is in Control — Not the News, Not Your Wallet
Let me put it this way: heaven is the real control room. That’s where all the decisions are made — not in government meetings, not in the banks, and definitely not in what your account is saying. Everything about your life — your healing, your breakthrough, your purpose — was already settled there long before you ever faced that challenge here.
What we see on earth is just the replay — like a TV broadcast. It might look messy and uncertain, but if heaven has already declared your victory, that mess is just part of the process, not the final say.
I Found Out Wrestling Was Fake — And It Taught Me Something
Growing up, I was hooked on wrestling. I took it personally! If my favourite wrestler was getting smacked with a chair or thrown over the ropes, I’d start shouting like I could help him. I really thought it was all real.
Until someone told me, “Relax man, it’s scripted.”
Haaibo! I felt so betrayed.
But then it hit me — the outcome was decided before the fight even started. All the drama, all the flipping and shouting, was just acting to lead to a result that was already chosen.
That’s when I realised: sometimes life feels like chaos, but behind it all, the victory has already been written.
Watching a Match You’ve Already Seen — Peace in the Panic
Let’s say you’re watching a soccer match you already saw before. You know your team wins 4–2, but right now in the replay, the other team is leading 2–0. There’s only 5 minutes left, and they’re still attacking hard.
People around you are panicking. But you? You’re chilled. You’re even smiling. Why? Because you already know how it ends.
That’s what it’s like when you know what heaven has spoken about you. Even when the situation looks like it’s getting worse, you don’t lose your peace — because you know the comeback is coming. You’re not watching to see if you’ll win; you’re watching how the win will unfold.
Jesus Looked Like He Was Losing — But That Was the Greatest Victory
When Jesus He was being whipped, mocked, and nailed to a cross, it looked like total defeat. The crowds laughed. His followers scattered. Even heaven seemed silent. To human eyes, it looked like darkness had won.
But in that very moment — Jesus was walking in divine purpose. He was fulfilling a script that had already been written before the foundations of the earth.
Isaiah 53 didn’t say He might be wounded — it declared, “By His stripes, we are healed.” That means every lash on His back was not a loss — it was healing being released. Every drop of blood was not wasted — it was the payment for your freedom.
He wasn’t being taken down — He was lifting you up.
And Jesus knew this. That’s why in Luke 4, when He stood in the synagogue and read from the scroll of Isaiah, He boldly said, “This Scripture is fulfilled today in your hearing.” He was saying, “I came to walk in what has already been written of Me.”
He didn’t live guessing or doubting His mission. He walked in full confidence that His life was following heaven’s script — a script of victory, not defeat.
It’s like watching a movie where the main character gets beaten, betrayed, and buried. But you know the twist is coming. You know the script won’t leave him in the grave.
That’s exactly what happened with Jesus. The cross was not the end — it was the setup for the resurrection. What looked like the enemy’s triumph was actually heaven’s plan unfolding with unstoppable power.
Your Life Is Also Scripted — And The Ending Is Good
Here’s the good news: If you belong to Christ, the same is true for you. Your story is not being written in panic. Heaven already has the script of your life—page by page, victory by victory. God isn’t making up the plan as He goes. Before you faced that sickness, before the bills piled up, before the bad news arrived, He had already settled the final scene.
When God has already stamped “APPROVED” on your health, your finances, or your family, there’s no need to run around panicking or refreshing your bank app every five minutes. You can breathe. You can relax.
It’s like receiving a delivery notification from Takealot but not yet seeing the van—you’re not pacing the street. Instead, you’re preparing the space, ready with a smile for the delivery person.
That means the setbacks you see now are only temporary scenes, not the whole movie. The midnight cries, the tight budgets, the silent seasons of unanswered prayer—none of these moments change the ending. Heaven’s scoreboard still shows you ahead: the cross sealed your victory, the resurrection confirmed it, and the Holy Spirit keeps reminding you of it.
Your wallet might be shouting louder than your faith, and sickness may still be trying its luck, but none of these things have the final say—the cross already wrote the last word.
So lift your head. Shake off the panic. If Jesus could rise after the cross, you can rise after this trial. The same power that raised Him is working in you right now—turning loss into testimony, pain into purpose, and delay into divine timing.
I declare over your life right now: the script of heaven will overrule every earthly setback. Where fear has gripped your heart, bold faith will rise. Where lack has shouted the loudest, supernatural provision will answer louder. Every promise God has spoken over you will break through delays and manifest in full. Your ending is victory—sealed, settled, and unstoppable—in the mighty name of Jesus.
Seeing Worry for What It Really Is
The moment I began to rest in this truth, I saw worry for what it really is — just noise.
Worry doesn’t solve the problem; it only drains your peace. It’s like watering a plastic plant — you’re pouring out energy on something that can’t grow. Or like blowing up a balloon with a hole — you’re trying your best, but nothing’s really changing. All effort, no progress.
When you realize this, you stop feeding the noise and start listening to the still, steady voice of God instead.
True peace is not ignorance. It’s the calm confidence of someone who knows God’s promises are secure.
The devil hates it when we rest in faith, because that’s where his power starts to fade.
When you say with your heart, “I know this is already sorted,” you’re standing in a place of authority — and faith like that is dangerous to the enemy.
The Lesson from the Fig Tree
Remember the story in Mark 11? Jesus cursed the fig tree because it bore no fruit. At first, nothing seemed to happen. The tree looked normal, with leaves and branches. But Jesus didn’t stick around to watch and worry. He walked away with full confidence.
The disciples came back the next day and saw the tree had withered from the root.
That’s how spiritual authority works: the root is dealt with before the visible results show up. So, if you don’t see immediate changes in your finances, health, or family situation, don’t panic. The breakthrough is growing beneath the surface.
Waiting for Peace, Not Proof
Even now, when I pray, I don’t wait for signs or big feelings. I wait for peace. Peace is not the absence of problems — it’s the presence of God’s assurance. It’s the Holy Spirit saying, “It’s done. You can rest.”
That’s why Jesus could sleep peacefully during the storm on the boat in Mark 4 — not because He didn’t care, but because He already knew the destination: “Let us go to the other side.”
If heaven has declared your victory, no storm can stop you.
